AASM E-Learning Center
   

The AASM Online Learning Center is a venue where medical professionals of various backgrounds and different levels of experience can enhance their understanding of sleep and sleep disorders.

These resources are readily available and easily assessable in a self-directed, online format that gives you the freedom to explore and learn at your own pace.

Sleep Study Scoring Tests
How well do you know the AASM Manual for the Scoring of Sleep and Associated Events? The AASM presents a sleep study scoring test to assess your knowledge of the new scoring rules, polysomnographic pattern recognition and scoring ability. The test is on-line and interactive, providing you with immediate feedback and additional information. Use the test to assess your own knowledge or as a training tool with technologists. There are 3 modules with 25 questions in each.
 
Sleep Medicine Practice Exam (2009 Edition - The 2009 version is updated to reflect new scoring rules and terminology.)
Test your knowledge of sleep in preparation for the upcoming sleep medicine subspecialty board certification examination with the Sleep Medicine Practice Exam. The six-part online exam consists of 150 questions in a variety of topic areas and features instant feedback for each question, a built-in reading list and a printable summary guide so you can tailor your future study.
 
Recognizing Sleep Disorders: Sleep Related Breathing Disorders
This slide set will help primary care physicians identify obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in patients and determine the best referral and treatment options. It provides a comprehensive overview of the signs and symptoms OSA, the relevant findings achieved by polysomnography, and the recommended treatments for the varying severity levels of sleep apnea. Three detailed case studies will take you through the patient’s inaugural presentation of the complaint to the final treatment plan. This slide set includes one AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM.
