Frequently Asked Questions

ABIM

AASM Maintenance of Certification Modules and 200-Epoch Scoring Reviews are accepted by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) for the indicated number of points, which satisfy the Self-Evaluation of Medical Knowledge requirement of ABIM's MOC program.

The ABIM recognizes credit for passing a 200-Epoch Scoring Review as part of its Innovations Pathway pilot program. Users who pass a 200-Epoch Scoring Review between September 2013 and September 2015 and who are enrolled in ABIM's MOC program may earn these MOC points.

The AASM may be eligible to renew approval for the Scoring Reviews beyond 2015 if ABIM rolls out a permanent approval pathway at the conclusion of the Innovations Pathway pilot.

Please Note: ABIM will begin implementing the new requirements to its MOC program beginning January 1, 2014. For additional information about ABIM's new MOC program requirements visit http://moc2014.abim.org.
