Stand-alone providers of out of center sleep testing (OCST) services have the opportunity to obtain OCST program accreditation. To qualify for accreditation, OCST programs must have a clinic with the capability to provide comprehensive patient management for the full range of sleep disorders, including appropriate follow-up and effective treatment.
This type of accreditation is specifically for OCST programs that have a clinic and provide comprehensive patient management but DO NOT have a lab for overnight polysomnography. If your facility offers overnight polysomnography, you may be eligible for sleep facility accreditation.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to download the AASM Guide to OCST Accreditation and review the AASM Standards for Accreditation before beginning their application. The guide provides the specifics on exactly what is required during the application process.
Programs seeking OCST Program Accreditation must complete the Application for Stand-Alone Accreditation of Out of Center Sleep Testing for Adult Patients.
