Sleep (Polysomnographic) Technologist
We are currently seeking professional, detail oriented and self-motivated Sleep Technologists.
1) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with current state licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist.
2) Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one-year duration, associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or a minimum of six months’ experience as a Polysomnography Trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies.
3) Current BLS certification required.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING: 1 - 2 years of clinical experience as PSG Tech preferred. Professional knowledge of polysomnographic procedures, principles and equipment operations. Strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills.
Reviews the patient's history and verify the medical order
Identifies recording artifact and corrects problems with recording
Accurately scores and analyzes sleep studies
Performs therapeutic treatments and interventions independently
Recognize physiological parameters including various sleep stages
Maintain and properly use sleep related equipment
Adheres to sleep centers policies and procedures
Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision
Perform all other duties as the job necessitates
