The AASM is hosting a revamped version of its Interpreting Sleep Studies course at the AASM National Office in Darien, IL on Sept. 29-30. With the increasing use portable monitoring for the diagnosis of sleep disorders, the AASM has added sessions on interpreting out of center sleep studies. Sleep medicine professionals interested in how to perform sleep studies to diagnose and manage patients with sleep disorders are encouraged to sign up for the course on or before Aug. 31 to save on registration fees. Advanced registration deadline for AASM Pharmacology Course is approaching

On October 1–2, 2011, the AASM will host a course at the AASM national office in Darien, Illinois (a Chicago suburb) entitled Pharmacology and Sleep Medicine. Pharmacology has been designated as a medical content category for the 2011 American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) sleep medicine certification exam; individuals preparing to take this exam can register for this course to receive a review of topics which may be covered on this exam. The advanced registration deadline for the Pharmacology and Sleep Medicine course is Friday, September 2, 2011; register before this date to save on registration fees.
